The 2012 EmbroidaBlock of the Month from Hoopsisters creates four beautiful quilts including the “Whole Earth Quilt”, and 3 projects to match! Join Donna to learn the Hoopsisters method of piecing, embellishing with embroidery, and quilting all in the hoop! In this class we will be making the “Whole Earth Quilt”. A special introductory class/shopping day has been scheduled for July 3rd from 10-12. Fabric, thread and battalizer requirements will be discussed along with an overview of the program. | Summer Sewing Camp
Mark your calendars now for this year’s Summer Sewing Camps for ages 10-14. Two separate weeks of sewing fun with a different twist for 2013! Summer camps will include a sewing machine and a mini mastery class for the students as well as sewing instruction and fun projects. We believe that if our students have their own machines and learn how to properly use them, they will continue to embrace the art of sewing while gaining in proficiency.

For those of you who took The Pillow Case Dress in May/June, this class will be an easy step up so you can learn to take the basic dress shape and use it to make dresses with round yokes, square yokes, cap sleeves, straps, and more. You will learn to measure your child for simple pattern drafting and pattern alteration to achieve more styles and looks than you ever dreamed possible… all beginning with a basic rectangle sometimes referred to as pillowcase. Smart piecing is a new class for 2013 focused on improving your cutting and piecing skills. In this quarter we will explore the different Nifty Notions wedge rulers. This quarter’s classes feature the “easy Striped Table Runner” pattern by Karen Montgomery. This quick and easy table runner uses the 60 degree ruler. We will use the three classes this quarter to complete the table runner and learn more about all the wedge rulers.
