Frosty Hills
Use a pre-cut Honey Bun to make a wonderful winter quilt - or use a different honey bun for a year-round quilt! We should be able to get the quilt top finished in class - you will have to quilt it on your own!

Your First Quilt
New to quilting? Then this is the perfect class for you!
Our popular beginig quilt clas keeps going and going! Learn the basis with Alex Anderson's book "Start Quilting," and once you've masterd that you'll find you never want to leave this class! If you are beginning this class, it is preferred that you start on the first Thursday of the month.

Embroidery
All About M.E.
This in-store virtual embroidery class is geared toward all brands of embroidery machines. It is designed to both inspire and educate both new and experienced machine embroiders. There will be table top demostrations that highlight the tips and techniques covered in the lesson. Students that wish to attend Fun with Embroidery need not choose between the two classes - they can simply take a small break to join the All About M.E. presentation.
Friday, 2 pm, June 4th: Quilting Possibilities with the Embroidery Machine - We will explore the world of quilts as we learn which designs and threads to use for quilting the layers of a quilt together using your embroidery machine as well as for embroidering quilt squares. Learn about stabilizers and how to choose the proper ones for quilting designs and for use on quilts. Find out what to look for in a good quality backing - when to use different types, how to apply them for best results, and how to safely remove them.
Friday, 2 pm, August 6th: Appliqué and Other Tricks Your Embroidery Machine Can Do - Did you know you can appliqué with your embroidery machine? It is so easy, and every corner will be flawless. You will see two different techniques for appliqué by machine. We will look at the specialty products that will make life easier. We will also see some other "tricks" your machine can do - from lace to loops to in-the-hoop projects!

Design Connection

This fun class allows you to gain confidence in your embroidery skills through projects designed to highlight useful and varied embroidery techniques. Floral Visions Block of the Month
This block of the month quilt will feature OESD's Floral Visions Design Collection, a beautiful collection of floral and lace designs that work together as singles or in combinations. Create a lovely embroidery quilt by manipulating the embroidery designs from the Floral Visions Collection using Bernina's embroidery software. The Floral Visions Quilt has eight blocks plus a center medallion. The embroidery is the centerpiece of each block that makes up the quilt. Have fun using the creative tools in the embroidery software to design the quilt and then make it using the wonderful features of Bernina sewing and embroidery machines. The embroidery directions highlight the Bernina 830, but this quilt may be accomplished on other Bernina models.
You only need to sign up for ONE session of classes. The same information is covered in each Session.

Fun with Embroidery
No matter what you want to embroider, no matter if you are a beginner or advanced skilled student, no matter if you are using a Bernina machine or other brand embroidery machine…Fun with Embroidery is JUST THAT…FUN! Hearts Quilt
Use your embroidery module to appliqué these whimical hearts into a contemporary quilt that is sure to make your heart sing. You really have to see the stitch outs to appreciate the creativity and the beauty of the decorative stitches incorporated in the designs! They are fabulous!

Sewing
Christmas Club
Every year we say we are going to do it…get started on making those holiday gifts early. This year, we are going to have some fun and help encourage you to actually reach your goal! Remember the old Christmas Club accounts we used to make deposits to every month so that in November we could count on a check to use for holiday purchases??? This will work something like that, except instead of depositing money, you will make and deposit a gift each month. Every “depositor” will have a “safety deposit box” in which his/her gifts will be kept until next December. Then we will allow you to “close” your account and wrap your gifts that are ready to go under the tree!!! All projects will be finished in class and you will be given instructions so that if you want, you can go home and make more to be “deposited” as well. At a minimum though, you will have made one gift per month of membership! Think of the fun we will have making our gifts throughout the year! Virtual Bernina Club
We are excited to offer Virtual Bernina Club for the first time at Loving Stitches! We will explore new patterns, new techniques and of course, using Bernina machines and accessories to maximize our achievements in creating the projects of our dreams - and there is nothing that compares to the quality, percision and creative control that Bernina offers. Just bring a pen and paper to take notes and be ready to be inspired by this lecture/demonstration. The lecture is given by Susan Fears and the demonstrations of the techniques are done by Loving Stitches Staff...and there is time for hands on learning as well!

Young Sewers
Young Sewers
Hello young sewers! Have we got a class for you. Come and join other young people and have some fun making new friends and great projects. Children age 8 – 15 are welcome to join these weekly sewing classes as space is available. Class sizes are strictly limited to assure that each child gets plenty of one-on-one attention and instruction.
Projects are carefully planned and approved by Carol prior to undertaking so that as many sewing techniques as possible are introduced to the children, that they are taught correctly using our Bernina machines, and that sufficient time is given to master each technique before moving on to others.
The cost for each class will be $10 per class PLUS the cost of the project kits.
Our Young Sewers groups will begin again with the school year.

Tatting
Learn the romantic art of tatting. These laces are incredibly beautiful and useful. Make everything from bookmarks to pillowcase edging, from lingerie trim to gloves or baby bonnets. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to learn this ancient art from an excellent instructor.

Art Canvas Antics
This class takes you a little bit beyond what you learned about Art Canvas in your V6 Bernina Embroidery Software class. We will be using touch up picture, adding artistic effects and lettering, and learning how to convert them into stitches

Going In Circles
Learn to use your embroidery software to create a contemporary wall hanging that has a circular theme. Quilting, monogramming, advanced appliqué, and many other techniques combine to create this artistic piece.

Software Sampler
Virtual software training by a Bernina Educator is presented each month with instructions for the various levels of Bernina software owned by our customers. Then, to give you the opportunity to apply what you have learned, we provide a hands-on demo of the techniques AND instruction to a project that uses the techniques covered are given to you on a CD---that has videos!
All you need to bring to the class is yourself and a pencil/pen and paper to take notes.
Saturday, August 21, 2:00 - 4:30 - Car Organizer - Outline fun! Use our powerful new outlining tool in Version 6 to create echo quilting - let the software do your quilting! Explore Auto Digitizing and Magic Wand features to create redwork designs, lettering outlines, etc. Use the designs to embellish a very practical Car organizer.

Gammill Machine Maintenance Class
We have combined the Hands-On and Lecture Maintenance Classes into one!
Acquire the maintenance skills you need to keep your Gammill or Statler Stitches long-arm operating smoothly and avoid costly down time caused by machine problems. Sign up early to attend one of our monthly maintenance classes taught by our certified Gammill/Statler technicians. Previous students in this class have said it was the best $95 they had ever spent!
