Applique Study Hall
Join a fun group of ladies on Monday for an Appliqué Study Hall. Bring your own projects and get help with color, technique, and additional advice. Enjoy the company of fellow appliquers.

Blooming Quilters
It's a new year and we hope to start a new project soon! We will finish our Bargello Quilt in January and start a "One Block Wonder" after that. New students are welcome to start in January and bring unfinished projects to work on until we start the new quilt. Maxine can assist you in finding the right fabric for the one block wonder. Each quilt will be unique. Please join us for a one of a kind experience!

Mystery Quilt - The Legend of the Spinning Top - NEW!
A mystery quilt! But here's a hint: This cheerful little quilt is a snap to make! As you stitch it together, you will remember childhood summers filled with endless, carefree summer days and simple delights like playing cards clipped to bicycle spokes, bubble pies, inflatable wading pools, and bright twirling toys blown by the wind. Hmmm...I wonder what the mystery quilt will look like?!?

Quilts of Valor Workshop
Perform National Service that will make you feel good. Simply find a friend who has never made a quilt before and take her (or him!) "under your wings" to piece a Quilt of Valor. You'll be the Coach to your Rookie.
The Coach will set up their sewing machine, cutting mat, and tools. You'll teach your Rookie to sew a ¼" seam. You'll do all the cutting, pinning and pressing as you guide your Rookie to make patchwork blocks for her/his Quilt of Valor.
Sewing days are free for both Coach and Rookie. Coaches need to bring their machine and sewing supplies, the Rookie needs to purchase the fabric kit at Loving Stitches.

Sew Fun & Embroidery
What a great way to spend Thursday afternoons with uninterrupted sewing, embroidering, and quilting, except for talking, laughing, shopping, and OH maybe some sewing and embroidery too. Our open sewing and embroidery session is just the right place for you to finish up a project or even start a new one. Whichever the case, join us for a fun filled afternoon!

About Trout - NEW!
Did you realize you could fish with your embroidery machine? You will definitely become "hooked" on this unique quilt. The trout and fishing flies are completely done in the hoop using embroidery applique. The best part of this class is that you don't have to clean the trout!
Students must have completed Embroidery Mastery in order to take this class.

Embroidery Basics - NEW!
If you own an embroidery machine and need a refresher, got a new embroidery machine for Christmas, or have been inspired to begin an embroidery project this is the class you need! Margaret will be discussing the basics of machine embroidery. How to hoop, design placement, design choice, how to choose your stabilizer, needles and threads. She will also go over the basic design editing you can accomplish in your embroidery machine and how to transfer newly purchased designs to your embroidery machine.
Each class will have a different main topic.
This is a lecture class, you just need pen and paper for notes!

Stabilizer Workshop
There are so many stabilizers to choose from, how do I know which one to use? How do I use it and when? Those questions and more will be answered in this lecture. The focus will be on machine embroidery. The various types of stabilizers will be discussed and selection will be simplified for you! So if you don't get it, let us help you!

Creative Sewing Club - NEW!
Join us for this class if you want to be inspired! This will be a lecture/demo class so all you need to bring is pen and paper.

HoopSisters Block of the Month - Goose Tracks (in progress)
Join us for this 10 month program and you will create a gorgeous quilt. Learn how to piece - and quilt - all in the hoop! The unique look of EmbroidaBlock combines piecing with machine embroidery to produce a look of elegance and add interest to your quilts. This Block of the Month program is designed to give both the novice and master quilter a method of quilting that uses little or no math, requres minimal cutting, is innovative, fun and results in every block sewn to perfection.

Sew Whatever
Tuesday night from 6-9pm is Sew Whatever Night! Which means you can work on a project of your choice receiving assistance from an instructor, or you may choose to participate in planned projects designed to use scraps.

Virtual Clubs
All About M.E.
This in-store virtual embroidery class is geared toward all brands of embroidery machines. It is designed to both inspire and educate both new and experienced machine embroiders. There will be table top demonstrations that highlight the tips and techniques covered in the lesson. Students that wish to attend Fun with Embroidery need not choose between the two classes - they can simply take a small break to join the All About M.E. presentation.
Friday, 2 pm, February 10: Don't Sweat it - Need a little something to keep you warm? Join us as we create a fun jacket that will do just that. We will discuss sweatshirts and fleece and how to embroider successfully on these fabrics. We will also talk about stabilizers and products that will make your garment or project look great.
Friday, 2 pm , March 9: Simple Home: The Baby Room - and More. In this class we will focus on an adorable ruffled pillow and wall hanging that will be perfect for anyone - not just the new baby. We will discuss gathering techniques as well as discuss how to choose the proper stabilizer for your designs.

You just need to bring paper and a pen/pencil for taking notes!

Software Sampler
Virtual software training by a BERNINA Educator is presented each month with instructions for the various levels of BERNINA software owned by our customers. Then, to give you the opportunity to apply what you have learned, we provide a hands-on demo of the techniques AND instruction to a project that uses the techniques covered are given to you on a CD---that has videos!
All you need to bring to the class is yourself and a pencil/pen and paper to take notes.

February 25 - Embroider Textue - Digitize designs for needle punching, ribbon work and couching. Create beautiful modern designs applicable to a variety of projects. Automate the Needle Punch process and embellish scarves, pillows, bags, journal covers, etc.
March 24 - Lettering Workshop - Build your lettering skills and explore new techniques. Use True Type fonts to customize your projects. Lettering techniques covered will include a variety of fill effects, outlining, echo and appliqué.

Virtual BERNINA Club
We are excited to offer Virtual BERNINA Club at Loving Stitches! We will explore new patterns, new techniques and of course, using BERNINA machines and accessories to maximize our achievements in creating the projects of our dreams - and there is nothing that compares to the quality, percision and creative control that BERNINA offers. Just bring a pen and paper to take notes and be ready to be inspired by this lecture/demonstration. The lecture is given by Susan Fears and the demonstrations of the techniques are done by Loving Stitches Staff...and there is time for hands on learning as well!

Tatting

Gammill Machine Maintenance Class
We have combined the Hands-On and Lecture Maintenance Classes into one!
Acquire the maintenance skills you need to keep your Gammill or Statler Stitches long-arm operating smoothly and avoid costly down time caused by machine problems. Sign up early to attend one of our monthly maintenance classes taught by our certified Gammill/Statler technicians. Previous students in this class have said it was the best $95 they had ever spent!
