Jelly Roll Race

Jelly Roll Race

Registration has begun for our very first Jelly Roll Race! This will be so fun and rewarding. There will be prizes - some silly and some GRAND! There will be food, and there will be FUN! "Racing" starts at 1:30 on Saturday, February 11th and continues until the last racer crosses the "finish line."

"Racers" are limited to 25 participants, but onlookers and cheerleaders are welcome to come and share in the fun as well. Call NOW if you want to participate because "racer" spots are going quickly!

Karen Sievert - Quilting Really Does Make the Quilt!

We asked Karen to design a brand new, original workshop for machine quilters. ALL types of machine quilters - long-arm, mid-arm, short-arm and regular machines. In this all day workshop, Karen will begin with the basics, including things like how to work around not having enough zipper leaders and such. She will also discuss batting choices. She will cover a volume of informaion on "fun"damentals, show design elements such as feathers of all kinds and flourishes as well as trapunto. And there there are all the tips that one can only share with a wealth of quilting experience! Decorative threads, the beauty of 300 thread count cotton sateen, and much, MUCH more. Also on the agenda are hands-on opportunities and time for questions and answers.

The Quilting and Fiber Art Marketplace

The Quilting and Fiber Art Marketplace will be held January 6 – 7, 2012, at the Dennis Wicker Civic Center, 1801 Nash St., Sanford, NC 27330.  The hours both days are 9 am – 5 pm.  Admission is $5.00.  There will be food on site and plenty of parking.
