1 Million Pillowcase Challenge
American Patchwork & Quilting® knows Quilting Changes Everything. That's why in 2010, we have joined the cause to Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference. Every pillowcase can make a difference in our community. A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident. Loving Stitches has specially priced pillowcase kits available for this cause. Or use fabric from your stash & drop off a finished pillowcase! We are also scheduling special pillowcase sew days to work on these as a fun group.

Embroidery S.O.S. (Secrets of Success)
Looking for inspiration and embroidery tips from those in the know? Whether you are experienced or new to machine embroidery, Embroidery S.O.S. will answer the most frequently asked embroidery questions, including: Perfect Placement (every time!) Successful Hooping, Elegant Monograms, Embroiderying for Babies and much, much more!
Bernina Educator Amanda Whitlatch will be here to teach this exciting lecture/demo. Amanda provides innovative techniques and an enthusiasm for teaching. She has won numerous national awards for her wearable art creations and often "hosts" Software Sampler. On Thursday, October 21st, we are offering two sessions - one from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and a second class from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

Feathers & Frills: Fearless Quilting for Any Quilter
From basic stippling to a variety of beautiful feathers, and something inbetween. Learn to draw background fills, continuous curve variations, border treatments and lots of feathers, all of which you can use on your own quilts. Whether you are a beginner or you've been quilting for a while, you'll find new ideas tp add to your bag of tricks. We can discuss how to quilt that top that you just can't quite figure out! Bring your tops you need help with and if you would like you can bring some Show and Tell quilts. Bring your questions and the class is designed to be relaxed and have time for your questions. Bring a Brown Bag Lunch!

Kim Buterbaugh - Let's Dye It!
Let's Due It: Hands-On Fabric Dyeing
Wear your old clothes, bring a bag lunch, and let's have fun creating beautiful fabrics to add to your next quilting project. Learn to mix fabric dyes to make 6 shade gradations. While they set, we'll experiment with other methods of creating color and texture with dye. This is truly a "hands-on" class, so prepare to get messy! Suitable for anyone ages 15 to 150. Bring a Brown Bag Lunch!
