Shipping Policy
- All orders received before 5pm EST will be shipped the next business day unless otherwise notified. If orders are placed on a weekend or holiday, they will be shipped the next business day.
- If an item on your order is out of stock or we do not have the amount requested, we will contact you if you specify on your order. To ensure you get the correct yardage needed, please indicate on each item if you want us to "send what we have," "cancel the order," or "contact me" if the quantity requested is not available.
- If you are wishing to pick up in the store, please indicate that in the comments section of your order.
- If you are picking up in store, we will remove the shipping cost prior to charging your credit card.
- All orders are shipped USPS unless otherwise requested.
- All gift cards will be shipped for $4.95
- If we are able to fit your order into a smaller package, we will adjust your shipping prior to charging your credit card.
- USPS orders are shipped Priority Mail and should be delivered in 2-5 days. However, USPS Priority Mail delivery times are not guaranteed. Orders with APO/FPO and in Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico will be shipped USPS Priority Mail and may take longer to be delivered.

International Shipping Charges
- We ship international orders via USPS Priority Mail International (1-3 weeks typically but sometimes longer).
- USPS Priority Mail International (note that US postal rates increased on Jan. 22, 2012):
- Canada and Mexico: $9 for every $100 **
- All other countries: $17 for every $100 **
- ** Rates are based on non-sale prices due to envelope size limitations, see notes below.
- NOTES:
- We will reduce your shipping charges if we are able to ship your order for less.
- We can typically fit up to 8 yds of regular cotton fabric in a priority mail envelope. For thicker fabrics (flannel, wovens, etc) it would be less. Amounts vary if an order includes precuts, patterns, notions or other items.
- For odd sized products or full bolt orders shipping may be higher and we will contact you before shipping.
- If any additional charges apply or if your order contains oversized items we will contact you. Any customs, duties or taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
Sales Tax
- Sales tax of 7% is included for all North Carolina residents only.

Returns/Exchange Policy
- We want all of our customers to be 100% satisfied. We have a 30-day return policy on items you are not satisfied with. Refunds will be issued once items are returned to us. Refunds will not be given for shipping & handling charges. Sale items may not be returned. Due to copyright laws, patterns and books may not be returned. All returns must be in original condition and packaging and they must not have a smoke odor to them. Returns that have a smoke odor will not be refunded. We do not accept returns on cut fabric or embroidery designs. If the wrong fabric was sent to you, please contact us and we will be happy to get you the correct item.
Class Policy
- Please register for all classes, including mastery, in advance as space is limited.
- Customers must pay for classes when registering in order to hold their place. Customers who would like to pay later will be placed on a waiting list until payment is received. If you are placed on the waiting list, you are not guaranteed a space in the class.
- A supply list is written for every class taught at Loving stitches. We encourage our students to purchase supplies here at Loving Stitches as this helps make our classes profitable and in turn allows us to provide even more classes.
- All sewing machine brands are welcome in our classes. If you are using something other than a BERNINA sewing machine, please bring your owner's manual with you so we can offer assistance if needed. A BERNINA sewing machine can be rented for $5.00 per class. Please let the front desk know prior to the class start date if you would like to reserve a machine.
- All students must have a legal copy of the pattern/book being used in their class. No photocopies or sharing allowed.
- Please gather your supplies in advance of your class so you will have the full benefit of the entire class session.
- "Free" classes require a $5.00 deposit to hold your place. This deposit will be returned to you during class. If you do not come to class, your deposit is forfeited.
- If you cannot attend a class for which you have registered, you must let us know 7 days in advance and we will happily refund your class fees or register you for another class.
- If you cancel after the 7-day allowance up to the day before class, we will refund your class fees into a Loving Stitches gift card only.
- No-shows or cancellations on the day of class will result in forfeiture of class fees regardless of reason.
- If you sign up within 7 days of class, the above policies still apply.
- There are no refunds of class fees for "Special Events" within 30 days of the event. No exceptions.
- Loving Stitches will determine the minimum number of students for each class. If the minimum enrollment is not met, the class will be cancelled and those who have registered will receive a refund.
- Students are asked to turn cell phones off or at least to vibrate. If a call is necessary, please leave the room.
- Please refrain from wearing any scent or perfume due to allergies and sensitivities of others.
- Please do not bring children or pets to class.
- Students must be at least 16 years old unless the class is designated for younger students OR they have the express permission of the instructor.
Block of the Month Policy
- Each BOM program requires a non-refundable $24.95 Start-up Fee. In the first month, you will be billed for this Start-up Fee, one month’s block plus shipping & handling. For quilts with embroidered blocks, embroidery design packs must be purchased separately, at the start of the program.
- We expect that when you enroll you will continue through to the end of the program; but we also know that sometimes life gets in the way of our plans. Please email us at least 7 days prior to your normal BOM billing day and we will discontinue your enrollment. Occasionally with certain projects, you must commit to the entire program. Those will be clearly identified in their description.
- If you join us after a BOM has started, you will receive all previously issued blocks in your first month. So, if a program began in January and you start in March, your first month’s billing will include a Start-up Fee, the blocks for January, February and March, plus shipping & handling. Then you will be on schedule with the others in that same program.
- Maybe you’d like to purchase the BOM all at one time. For you, we’d like to offer a 10% discount.
- Did you make a mistake in cutting? We’ll be happy to provide you with fabric to replace a small cutting error or if it’s a larger mistake we can bill you for the replacement fabric on the credit card we have on file for you.
- We hope you enjoy our BOMs. To thank you, we’d like to waive the Start-up Fee for every second BOM program you choose to participate in. When registering, write us a note and we’ll adjust your price at checkout.
