Growing up in Minnesota meant family trips to the northern part of the state. Every summer there was a new lodge to visit. Our Dad would take us out during the day to try and capture sight of a moose, bear or deer. Our favorite place was the dump where you were sure to spot a bear in the early morning. Those fond memories were the inspiration for this group of woodsy nature prints and batiks. I plan on a quilt using both of the panels to remember those carefree, exciting times spent in all the splendor that nature offers.
