Whew! We are all recovering from our fantastic Nancy Bednar seminar. It was such a high-energy and informative day.Who knew all the wonderful things you could do with your serger!
The first part of the day consisted of a lecture where we learned the basics of sergers and
serging, as well as techniques. We were also inspired by samples Nancy had brought to share.
After lunch, it was hand-on for everyone! We made these adorable little bags using six different techniques. To make it easier on everyone, we set up serging stations around the classroom. This way, we could dedicate specific
machines to specific techniques. It definitely kept us all moving and on our toes!
While Nancy did her teaching and demonstrating, we had additional “Serging Angels” toassist her in helping everyone. The Angels were most helpful in re-threading machines
when one thread broke. I think the Angels could do this blindfolded!
At the end of the day, everyone agreed it was a wonderful experience. Here at Loving Stitches, we’re already planning to bring back Nancy Bednar to have another fantastic educational day!
Thanks so much to Nancy Bednar for sharing her time and talents with us!!!! Also that you to all our wonderful students who attended the day!
