Garment Making: Skirt

This month, bring a skirt pattern of your choice to make using your serger, or serger and sewing machine. We will start with taking proper measurements to determine pattern size, choosing pattern pieces, pinning and cutting fabric.
Make sure your serger is in good working order and remember to bring your manual!
Supplies you will need for class:

Serger or sewing machine in good working order

Bring foot pedal,

Power cord, any

Feet and accessories that came with your machine

User manual

Needles appropriate for your serger

Transparent tape
-
Pattern tracing material if you want to trace pattern instead of cutting the original (red dot or pattern tracing paper)

Pen or pencil for tracing

Marking chalk or erasable fabric markers

Fabric amounts indicated on pattern based on your size

4 spools serger thread to coordinate with fabric

Scissors, snips, rotary cutter

Clips or pins
-
Measuring tape
-
Scissors or rotary cutter
-
Blunt needle for weaving in thread tails

Any other items you like to have while serging, i.e. a slipper for your “driving foot”
