¼” presser foot of choice for piecing

Straight Stitch Needle Plate

Rotary cutter 

Rotary Cutter mat

Rotary ruler (7” X 14” or similar)

Aurofil thread

Needles size 80/12 Universal or 90/14  Sharp if you choose batik fabrics

Pins 0.5 mm

Clover clips

Glue stick

Marking pen like Frixion

Any other sewing items you like to have close by when you sew

Fabric:  Kits will be available or:

Choose a focal fabric – 2 ½ yards (Pick a focal fabric to which you could add still other fabrics if you decided to do so)

Now select a total of 4 more yards in light, medium and dark values to compliment the focal fabric.  That could be 3, 1 1/3-yard cuts or 16 quarter yard cuts (or fat-quarters) but a total of about 1 1/3 yards per value.

There will be 12, 12-inch blocks plus setting and bordering fabrics.
